LANCASTER, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall cruised to a 3-0 victory over Lancaster Bible on Wednesday evening in non-conference play. The Diplomats (10-2, 3-2 Centennial Conference) used three different goal scorers to surge past the visiting Chargers in the first ever meeting between the two sides.

A.J. Kopacz grabbed the game winner just 17 minutes into the game for F&M, thanks to a Steven Yakita helper. Yakita dribbled down the endline, then sent a pass back towards the top of the box, where Kopacz confidently finished for the 1-0 advantage.

It was a dominating first half for the Diplomats, who outshot the Chargers 12-3 and held a 7-0 edge in corner kicks in the frame.

F&M finally broke through for an insurance goal in the 60th, as a Philip Monos corner kick deflected off a defender towards the far post to a waiting Dallen Moore. Moore punched it from five yards out for a 2-0 edge.

Koa Kaliebe broke through for his first career goal in the 74th, as a Monos cross from the left flank found the head of Adam Green, who nodded it back to Kaliebe. The first-year midfielder ripped a shot on frame for the 3-0 final.

F&M led in shots 23-6 and 11-1 in corners.

Steven Yakita led the Diplomats with five shots, while Philip Monos ended with four.

Sam Altman Farrell made three stops for his seventh shutout in 11 starts.

The Diplomats continue play on Saturday during TrueBlue Weekend, facing off against No. 24 Swarthmore beginning at 6:00pm at Tylus Field.
