LANCASTER, Pa. -- Dallen Moore capitalized on a late-game goal late in the fourth quarter to help No. 16 Franklin & Marshall slip by Scranton, 1-0. With the win, the Diplomats improved to 9-1-0 (3-1-0 CC), while the Royals dropped to 3-3-3 on the year.

The first half hour of the contest was largely dominated by F&M, as five of the first six shots of the match came from the Blue and White. Despite outshooting Scranton by five, the Diplomats were unable to punch one in entering the half.

After conceding the first shot of the second half, the Diplomats went back to work. Shots by Shay Adamson and Koa Kaliebe required stops by the Royals backstop to keep things level.

But a deflected ball in the 81st minute landed at the feet of Moore just outside the box. The outside back took a crack and put it past a diving keeper for the 1-0 advantage and final.

Even with the low-scoring affair, the Diplomats still recorded 14 shot attempts, beating Scranton by a large margin with the Royals putting up three. F&M also held the advantage in corner kicks with four compared to Scranton's one. Shay Adamson took a team-high four shots in the victory.

The Diplomats defense gave Sam Altman Farrell quick work, as the senior keeper only had to save one shot on goal on only three attempts.

F&M continues its four game homestand on Saturday afternoon, as they will host Gettysburg in a Centennial Conference matchup at 3:00pm at Tylus Field.
