LANCASTER, Pa. – Getting the chance to compete at its home venue for the only time this spring, the Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team certainly made the most of that opportunity as the Diplomats won five individual championships and a relay championship on Saturday afternoon. That should give F&M plenty of momentum heading into the Centennial Conference Championships, which are slated for just over two weeks from today.
Abby Lienhard was a double winner for F&M as she claimed the 100 meter dash and the long jump. That marks the second straight meet that Lienhard has won both of those events. The 800 meters continues to be a strong event for the Diplomats as they swept the top four spots this week, highlighted by Alexis Salerno's individual win. Grace Miske capped the individual winners on the track with her win in the 3,000 meters while the 4x400 relay of Salerno, Laura Greene, Sydney Dzenutis, and June Sanchez combined to win that event title. In the throwing events, Jillian Barger won the hammer in addition to a pair of runner-up finishes.
