Box Score

ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's soccer team scored a season-high four goals during a 4-1 victory at Rosemont on Wednesday evening. The No. 20 Diplomats (8-1-2) have now won seven of their last eight matches and are unbeaten in nine straight overall. Four different players all found the back of the net for F&M in their best offensive output of the season to date.

Oscar Horwitz, Koa Kaliebe, Connor Anderko, and Isaac Mintz were F&M's goals scored during the non-conference victory as the Diplomats maintained an 18-12 advantage in shots over the 90 minutes. Sam Farrell made five saves in goal to record the victory.

The first half was a high scoring affair as three of F&M's goals, and the only tally from the Ravens, were registered during the first 45 minutes. Horwitz, the two-time reigning Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week, opened the scoring just over 11 minutes into the contest as he took a pass from Jordan Samuels to knock home his team-leading sixth goal of the season. Samuels' assist was the second of his career as the first-year now has a point in three consecutive matches. Horwitz has scored a goal in three straight matches and five of the last seven contests overall.

Kaliebe and Anderko both tallied unassisted goals in the first half to give their side a 3-1 advantage at the half. Kaliebe's goal was his second game-winning effort in three matches after he previously scored during the 2-1 victory at Muhlenberg. Anderko's first tally of the year marked the second career goal for the F&M defender as he scored his first goal since the opening weekend of the 2021 season. In addition to the scoring action, the goalies combined to make five saves in the first half to deny any other scoring opportunities.

A second F&M defender was able to score the Diplomats' final goal of the night as Mintz tallied for the first time in his collegiate career. The sophomore's effort was the team's third unassisted effort of the night and came with just over six minutes remaining in regulation time. Six different players recorded multiple shots for F&M. Farrell made three of his five saves during the first half before stopping the only two shots on goal he faced during the second half. The Diplomats additionally held a 5-3 advantage in corner kick attempts.
