STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Franklin & Marshall women's indoor track & field team traveled to New York on Friday looking for personal bests to move up the rankings. The Diplomats certainly accomplished that feat as four runners set new personal best times in their respective events, with each of those PRs ranking among the best in the conference this season while improving their times in the school record books.
Three F&M runners hit personal bests in the 800 meters. Laura Greene headlined that group as her scratch time of 2:21.03 ranks her fourth in school history and second in the Centennial Conference this season. She finished 13th overall in Friday's meet. Lexi Salerno now owns the sixth-fastest time in school history as she posted a time of 2:22.03 to finish 17th on Friday afternoon, the fourth-fastest in the conference this year. Emma Steffan represented the throwers with a 23rd place finish in the weight throw (13.54m; 44'5.25") and 33rd place showing in the shot put (10.26m; 33'8").
