PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Audrey Berling represented Franklin & Marshall at Friday's opening day of the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships, hosted by Penn. The junior battled in a pair of competitive matches in the Holleran North bracket, but was eliminated from the tournament.
For the second straight year, Berling had an opening round match against an opponent from Virginia, this time facing against the fifth-seeded Olivia Walsh. Down 11-4, 11-4, she forced a fourth frame with a strong 11-6 win in the third, but ultimate fell 11-7 in the final stanza.
Berling's quarterfinal match in the consolation bracket against Penn's Emma Carter was a back-and-forth affair, as the two sides split the first four games. The Diplomat junior took the first and third frames, but an 11-3 fifth and final game ended her run in the tournament.
