Box Score WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Franklin & Marshall men's soccer team (5-1-2, 1-0-1 CC) battled McDaniel (6-1-1, 0-1-1) to a scoreless tie in Saturday afternoon's Centennial Conference match.
F&M outshot the Green Terror, 16-3, in the game. Coming on a free kick in the 41st minute, Shay Adamson sent a shot on net that was punched out of the box by McDaniel goalkeeper Austin Heid.
Philip Monos sent a shot from distance that was fired on net in the 81st minute, but Heid was able to pounce on it to prevent any rebound. Monos and Nathan Schlessinger led the F&M offense with four shots each in the game.
Sam Farrell only faced one shot on goal the entire match. In the 17th minute, the Green Terror earned a corner kick. The kick was sent into the box and cleared out by the F&M defense. McDaniel midfielder Gage Souder gained possession and sent a shot on the ground that was scooped up by Farrell.
It is F&M's second tie of the season, and first scoreless draw since the 2018 campaign where the Diplomats tied Muhlenberg.
Franklin & Marshall returns to Tylus Field to face Muhlenberg in a CC match Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
