Box Score LANCASTER, Pa. – Koa Kaliebe's three-point night helped the Franklin & Marshall men's soccer team (6-1-2, 2-0-1 CC) down Muhlenberg (3-4-2, 1-1-1 CC), 2-1 Wednesday evening at Tylus Field.
F&M opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when Kaliebe sent a crossing pass to Oscar Horwitz in front of the net. Horwitz buried his shot to score his fourth goal of the season. It is the third time this fall where Horwitz has found the back of the net off a Kaliebe assist.
The Diplomats added an insurance goal in the 66th minute of the match. Horwitz fired a shot that was saved by the Mules' goalkeeper. Jordan Samuels collected the rebound and chipped a pass to Kaliebe, who sent it past the keeper to put the Diplomats ahead 2-0. The assist was Samuels' first point of his collegiate career.
Sam Farrell was aggressive in net, making seven saves and breaking up multiple Muhlenberg crossing attempts during the match. Franklin & Marshall outshot Muhlenberg 15-13 in the victory. Horwitz led the Diplomats with three shots on goal in the contest.
