LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 18 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team began the year in a battle against 15th-ranked Williams Friday evening. The Diplomats fought hard throughout their matches, but were defeated 5-4 Friday evening at the Mayser Center.
Gurlin Kaur and Aryaa Ogale picked up 3-0 sweeps out of the No. 2 and No. 3 slot, respectively. With the victories, Kaur picked up her fifth win of the season while Ogale earned her sixth. Zarine Gidwaney earned a hard-fought victory in the No. 5 slot, 3-1, for her third win over the 2022-23 campaign. After dropping the first game, Gidwaney responded with 12-10, 12-10, and 11-4 game wins. Audrey Berling outlasted her opponent in a 3-2 thriller to pick up her fourth victory of the season.
