WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's golf team clinched its second victory of the fall season with a first-place finish Sunday morning at DIII Northeast Elite, held at Williamsport Country Club. The Diplomats carded a team score of 307 in the final round to bring its final tally to 603 – claiming first in the field of 11 teams. It is the first time since the 2011-12 season where F&M won its first two tournaments to begin the fall slate.

Shane Lawler ended the tournament as the only golfer in the field of 58 competitors to finish under-par – carding a 71 in the final round to place first on the individual leaderboard. Lawler registered three birdies and 12 pars on the day to bring his overall tournament score to 141 (one-under par).

Roy Anderson carded a 76 on day two to bring his final tally to 149, placing him in fourth place for the tournament. Will Livingston shot an 82 in the final round to place tied for 15th with an overall score of 157. Matt Durnan improved on his first-round score by a stroke – recording a 78 on day two to tie Livingston in 15th. Matt Tressler ended the day with an 83 to place himself tied for 33rd in the tournament.

Franklin & Marshall looks to continue to build to its hot start to the fall season as the Diplomats compete in the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic at Waynesboro Country Club. The two-day tournament will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
