Millersville, PA. - On Sunday October 1st, Franklin and Marshall Ultimate Frisbee traveled to Millersville University for the Hat Tournament. All teams in attendance were split into 6 teams with varying numbers of the team.

The Purple Team (Deep Blue players Dylan Sykes, Vivey Ellis, Matthew Crotty, Zoe Ciabaton & Winston Thai) finished 6th with a record of 1-2
The White Team (Deep Blue players Bryce Roach & Henry Osher) finished 5th with a record of 1-2
The Red Team (Deep Blue players Ryan Leitner, Brandon Wang, & Matt Howe) finished 4th with a record of 2-2
The Green/Black Team (Deep Blue players Aaron Puerzer, Emma Levy, Gage Kuhl, Jeremy Ridlon, & EJ Gormley) finished 3rd with a record of 2-2
The Yellow Team (Deep Blue players Lexi Weaver & Jacob Feldman) finished 2nd with a record of 4-1
The Blue Team (Deep Blue player Jonathan Martin) finished 1st with a record of 5-0

While the Deep Blue team did not play together, many of the players excelled individually. Zoe Ciabaton, Winston Thai & Jonathan Martin had multiple layouts, Dylan Sykes had 5+ points scored, and Ryan Leitner, Brandon Wang & Bryce Roach stepped up to new handler positions. Lexi Weaver, Emma Levy, Gage Kuhl, Aaron Puerzer, Vivey Ellis, Ej Gormley & Henry Osher excelled in the cutter position and were constantly breaking defenders while Matthew Crotty, Jeremy Ridlon, Matt Howe & Jacob Feldman played fantastic defense throughout each point. Nearly every new Deep Blue rookie scored their very first point in a competitive match. This tournament has shown the raw potential the Class of 2027 possesses and how vital they will become to the offense of Deep Blue in the coming years.

The Deep Blue will return to the field as a full team when it hosts a fall tournament on October 21st at the North Armstrong field.
