Lancaster, Pa - An exciting day of rugby was had at Franklin and Marshall College's Baker Field last Saturday, 9/30. The F&M Women's Rugby Team hosted its first tournament of the Fall 7s season, with Marywood, UPenn, and DeSales coming in for a 6-match morning.

Julia Grimes '25 led the team to a 2-1 record on the day. Losing by 7 points in the first match to Marywood and then winning the next two by 24 and 12 over UPenn and DeSales. Returning players

Abby Metcalf '25 all scored for the Diplomats. In addition to an especially exciting career first try by
Jessica Kinker '26. First-years Olivia Leahy, Macy Stanislaw, Mel Mitsyuk, Ava Anthony, Alexis Ayala, Ava Hisey '27 played their first games and have already proven to be strong additions to the team. Olivia Leahy '27 received this week's "Hammer MVP", for her hard work and success during her first time on the field. F&M Women's Rugby look forward to the next several Saturdays where they plan to develop this year's roster even further.

The Diplomats will return to Baker Campus on 10/28 during True Blue Weekend, when they host Swarthmore, Lafayette, Millersville, and DeSales.
