LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – The Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team competed in another Division I meet on Saturday as the team headed to the Rider Invitational. The Diplomats saw three individuals move up the top 10 record books while several others secured top 10 finishes in the highly competitive field.
Abby Lienhard was a part of two of those record-breaking performances. In the long jump, her best leap was measured at 5.50 meters, moving her up to second in school history. She later joined Tatum Evans, Hope Petralia, and Glory Edioma in the 4x100 meter relay as that group got the baton around the track in 50.36 seconds for the second-fastest time in school history.
Franklin & Marshall's third top 10 performance all-time came from Sydney Dzenutis in the 400 meters as she finished in a time of 1:00.20 to solidify her spot as the seventh-fastest individual in school history.
In addition to those finishers, the Diplomats had six other top 10 finishers in their respective events. Tatum Evans (1:10.71) and Amanda Imhauser (1:19.41) were both top 10 finishers in the 400 meter hurdles, while Kate Henderson took 10th in the steeplechase (12:33.60).
Rachel Caruso was the highest placing thrower with a fourth place showing in the javelin (34.90m) while Jillian Barger added a seventh place mark in the hammer throw (39.70m). Allison Huelbig just missed a personal best when she cleared 1.51 meters to take 10th in the long jump.
Women's track & field will have one more meet before the 2023 Centennial Conference Championships during the first weekend in May. That meet will be next Saturday, April 29 at Elizabethtown's Blue Jay Tune Up.
