GALLOWAY, N.J. – The Franklin & Marshall women's outdoor track & field team got off to a strong start on day one of the two-day Osprey Open that is being hosted by Stockton this weekend. The Diplomats' Friday performances were highlighted by Kate Henderson's win in the steeplechase.
Henderson continues to PR in the steeplechase, dropping her time to 12:26.81 over the 3,000 meter race. That time was good enough to win the event on Friday afternoon and moves the senior up to fifth in the College's record books.
The throwers also got their weekend underway on Friday. Rachel Caruso posted a third place finish in the javelin (31.29 meters), while Jillian Barger was sixth in the hammer (40.47 meters).
With just limited events on Friday, the rest of the Diplomats will compete in the Osprey Open on Saturday with action slated to get underway at 9:15 a.m.
