Track & Field Wraps up Last Chance Meet Slate at MIT

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Franklin & Marshall men's and women's track & field teams took on one more last chance at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Thursday evening. Tatum Evans won her event for the Diplomats who also took two more third place finishes and an eighth-place finish at the event.

Evans won her 400 meter hurdle event in a time of 1:08.51 to best the field. She ends her season as the sixth-ranked individual in school history for that event. Seniors Sydney Dzenutis (2:15.48 in 800 meters) and Abby Lienhard (5.39 meters in long jump) both claimed third place finishes. Lienhard graduates as the second-ranked individual in F&M history, while Dzenutis is the third-best in the history of the program. Dzenutis' time at the Centennial Conference Championships currently ranks 41st in Division III.

Jack Rodenberger capped his season with an eighth-place finish in the javelin as his beast throw was measured at 51.13 meters. Rodenberger is currently the highest ranked Diplomat on the national rankings list with his distance of 57.69 meters ranked 34th in Division III. That throw from the conference meet moved him up to third in F&M history.

The top declared entrants for the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships will be announced this weekend.
