GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's cross country team took eighth place out of 21 teams at Gettysburg's Aubrey Shenk Invitational on Saturday morning. The Diplomats put all five of their scoring runners among the top 90 finishers in the field of 212 competitors. Six of F&M's eight entrants on Saturday completed the 6K race with a personal best time.

First-year Tara Silverman led F&M to the finish line as she placed 27th with a personal best time of 22:54.2 during the 6,000 meter race. She scored 25 points after breaking the 23-minute barrier. Katie Scott (23:22.8) and Annalise Kauffman (23:39.5) each broke the 24-minute mark to record top 50 finishes. Scott claimed a 44th place finish, with Kauffman's PR putting her just three spots behind her teammate.

Jordyn Collie had another big personal best (24:15.6) as she raced to a 62nd place finish. Georgia Hodgson (25:02.5) was F&M's fifth finisher with her new personal best placing her 88th in the field. Hana Hyman (26:04.3) and Riley Schlosser (28:39.6) rounded out the six new personal bests for the Diplomats, while Abby Bachman (27:07.0) finished as the team's seventh finisher.

The 2024 Aubrey Shenk Invitational served as the team's final preparations before the Centennial Conference Championships which will take place on Saturday, November 2. Dickinson will host the conference championship which begins with the women's race begin at 11 a.m. in Carlisle.
