ANNVILLE, Pa. – The No. 9 Franklin & Marshall men's soccer team (6-0-6, 4-0-0 CC) earned a 2-2 draw with Lebanon Valley (6-4-2, 0-0-1 MAC) Wednesday afternoon in the Diplomats' final non-conference game of the 2024 regular season.
The Diplomats found the back of the net first in the contest as
Jack Baer connected with
Nathan Schlessinger for Schlessinger's third goal of the season. Meanwhile, Baer registered his first-career assist on the play.
The Dutchmen fought back with a goal in the 44th minute to force a 1-1 tie going into the halftime break. Despite being tied on the scoreboard, F&M held a narrow advantage in the shot column, 7-5, after 45 minutes of play.
Both teams came out of halftime firing with LVC finding the back of the net in the 54th minute. However, it didn't take long for F&M to respond as
Koa Kaliebe blasted a shot into the back of the cage during the 56th minute to tie the game up at 2-2. With the score, Kaliebe recorded his team-leading fifth goal of the year.
Adam Green led the game with five shots, while Schlessinger followed with three attempts in the contest. As a team, F&M fired 18 shot attempts with seven on goal in the match. In net,
Nolan Booth made four saves to keep LVC from a potential game-winning goal.
No. 9 Franklin & Marshall hits the road for a CC matchup against Muhlenberg on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
