LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Paced by six personal bests from its seven runners, the Franklin & Marshall women's cross country team placed 12th on Saturday at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship. That finish was the team's highest placement at a regional championship since taking eighth during the 2021 season.

The top three Diplomats all came across the finish line in quick succession as Katie Scott (22:46.3), Tara Silverman (22:50.7), and Annalise Kauffman (22:54.3) claimed the 47th, 49th, and 51st positions in the field. Scott posted a top 50 finish at the regional championship for the second consecutive season, while Kauffman had the highest regional placement of her collegiate career. The times for both Silverman and Kauffman were each career bests.

Jordyn Collie (23:21.3) ran a personal best time for the second consecutive meet as she placed 66th in the field as the team's fourth runner. Georgia Hodgson (24:43.7), Abby Bachman (24:56.7), and Hana Hyman (25:55.3) joined their teammates in setting new personal bests as the team's fifth through seventh finishers. All three of those runners also set new career bests in terms of placement at the regional championship.

Today's meet was the final race of the cross country season for the Diplomats. The cross country team will now join the rest of its track & field teammates for the upcoming indoor season. Franklin & Marshall will host the Diplomat Open inside the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center on December 6 before the final exam period and winter break will see a break in the team's competition schedule.
