11/2/2024 2:56:00 PM

CARLISLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's cross country placed sixth at the 2024 Centennial Conference Championships. The Diplomats scored 158 points as a team to tie for their best finish since the 2019 championship meet when they were fifth. That sixth-place showing matches the team's finishes from the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

Katie Scott (23:41.1) and Tara Silverman (23:51.5) both recorded top 30 finishes to pace the Diplomats during their strong performance. Annalise Kauffman (24:17.4) and Jordyn Collie (24:58.4) crossed the line in respective 37th and 50th place showings as both of those runners broke the 25-minute mark during the 6,000 meter race.

Georgia Hodgson was F&M's fifth runner across the line with a time of 25:41.9. Abby Bachman (27:03.6) and Hana Hyman (27:09.3) each crossed the finish line in under 28 minutes. Riley Schlosser was F&M's final runner across the line in a time of 30:36.1 during her conference championship debut.

Postseason for the women's cross country team will continue in two weeks when the Diplomats head to Lock Haven for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship on Saturday, November 16. Bids to the NCAA Division III Championships will be awarded to the top finishing teams and individuals during that regional meet.
