GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Nearly halfway done with the Centennial Conference Championships, the Franklin & Marshall Women's Swimming team ended the second day of competition in third place with 192 points.
Despite no top-three finishes on the night, the Diplomats recorded three top-10 times in program history across the four events.
Sophie Moyer's time of 24.35 in the 50-yard freestyle earned her first place in the "B" final along with fifth all-time in program history. In the same heat,
Matti Harvey posted a time of 24.55, good for ninth all-time.Â
In the 200-yard IM,
Catherine Crampton qualified for the "A" final and notched a time of 2:10.90, which ranks eighth all-time in program history. In the preliminaries, she logged a time of 2:07.35, which set the program record.Â
Additionally,
Georgia May qualified for the "A" final of the 500-yard freestyle and finished with a time of 5:10.14, which was a personal-best for the junior.
F&M will now move on to the third day of the championships tomorrow, with the morning session scheduled for 10 a.m. and the night session set for 6 p.m.
