EWING, N.J. – The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (0-3) fell on the road at TCNJ (4-0), 7-2, in Saturday afternoon's non-conference matchup.
The Lions jumped out to an early lead with wins in the first and third doubles matches. However, the duo of
Gonzalo Gentou and
Pedro Norte battled to an 8-7 win after forcing a tiebreaker in the middle match. This is the first victory for the pairing this season.
Gentou also earned his first singles' victory of the year in the No. 4 position. The sophomore claimed a 10-8 win in the third set to come away with the victory in the match.
Franklin & Marshall now prepares for its spring break trip to Orlando, Florida. The first match for the Diplomats will be against Ithaca on Monday, March 11 at 7:30 a.m.
