GREENSBORO, N.C. - On day two of the NCAA Championships, the Franklin & Marshall Men's Swimming team competed in three different events, including the 200-yard freestyle relay, in which the Diplomats earned All-American honors.
In the night session, the 200 free relay team of
Sam Kamdin,
Matt Hurford,
John Devaney and
Ben Lockey notched a time of 1:23.06, making them the first All-Americans for F&M since 2022. They also became just the sixth quartet to become All-Americans in the 200 free relay in program history.
Earlier in the day, the group also took part in the 400-yard medley relay, while Hurford competed in the 200-yard freestyle. The junior's time of 1:42.20 was good for 10th all-time in program history.
Friday's session is set to begin at 10 a.m., with the Diplomats set to participate in the preliminaries for the 800-yard freestyle relay and 100-yard backstroke.
