GREENSBORO, N.C. - Competing in two final events at the NCAA Championships, the Franklin & Marshall Men's Swimming team saw its season come to a close following Saturday's morning session.
As the lone individual swimmer of the day,
Matt Hurford swam a 45.66 in the 100-yard freestyle, which now ranks fifth all-time in program history. Less than a month ago, the junior set a personal record in the event with a time of 44.73 at the Centennial Conference Championships.
In the 400-yard freestyle relay, Hurford,
John Devaney,
Ben Lockey and
Sam Kamdin posted a time of 3:03.08.
This was the Diplomats' first trip to the NCAA Championships since 2022, highlighted by the quartet claiming All-American status in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
