LEXINGTON, Va. – The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (2-6, 0-1 CC) was defeated on the road in its non-conference match against No. 19 Washington & Lee (9-4, 5-0 ODAC), 9-0, Saturday morning.
F&M came close to taking the middle doubles match with the duo of
Gonzalo Gentou and Pedro Notre. However, the pair was held off to drop the match, 8-5.
In the singles matches,
Anthony Casale battled in the No. 6 position with close scores in both sets. Despite keeping within two of his opponent, Casale fell, 7-5 and 6-4, to drop the match.
Daniel Feigelson jumped in front of his competition in the No. 4 match with a 6-4 win in the first set. However, his opponent responded with wins of 6-0 and 6-2 to claim the victory.
Franklin & Marshall returns home on Thursday to host Kalamazoo at 4:00 p.m.
