LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (3-6, 0-1 CC) cruised past Kalamazoo (1-7), 9-0, in Thursday afternoon's non-conference match inside the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center.
Zac Ashtiani and
Anthony Casale started off the Diplomats with an 8-3 victory in the first doubles match of the day for the pairings second win of the season together.
Luke Brodsky and
Campbell Gervais followed with an 8-2 win in the second doubles match for the duos fourth win together this year. The duo of
Samuel Donnelly and
Dylan Maudsley won their first match together – claiming an 8-3 victory in the final doubles match of the day.
Brodsky earned his fifth singles' win of the season in the No. 1 position, 6-2, 6-2. Following Brodsky, Ashtiani also tallied his fifth victory of the year as he held off his opponent in the No. 2 match, 7-5, 6-4. Donnelly claimed a 6-2, 6-1 win in the No. 3 match for his fifth victory of the season.
Daniel Feigelson pushed past his opponent, 6-2, 6-0, in the No. 4 slot to earn his fourth win of the spring.
Pedro Norte picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win in the No. 5 position to collect his fifth victory of the season. In the final singles match of the day,
Soren Rudin-Aulenbach swept his opponent, 6-0, 6-0, for his fourth win of the year.
Franklin & Marshall continues its homestand on Tuesday against Centennial Conference (CC) foe Dickinson at 4:00 p.m.
