COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (6-7, 3-1 CC) earned its third Centennial Conference (CC) win of the season and second sweep over a CC opponent this year with a 9-0 victory at Ursinus (10-3, 2-2 CC) on Wednesday.
In the first doubles match of the day, the pairing of
Zac Ashtiani and
Soren Rudin-Aulenbach earned their first win together as they bested their opponent, 8-3. The duo of
Luke Brodsky and
Campbell Gervais overpowered their opponent in the middle match, 8(7)-7(5) for their seventh win of the year together.
Dylan Maudsley and
Pedro Norte completed the sweep in the doubles matches with an 8(10)-7(8) victory for their fourth win of the season.
Brodsky started the singles matches with a 6-3, 6-4 victory in the No. 1 position for his ninth win of the year. Ashtiani (No. 2),
Samuel Donnelly (No. 3), and
Daniel Feigelson (No. 4) followed with victories in their respective matches to each earn their eighth win of the season. Norte downed his opponent, 6-4, 6-0, in the No. 5 match for his ninth individual win of the spring. Rudin-Aulenbach rounded out the Diplomats with a 6-4, 6-3 win in the final singles match of the day for his eighth victory of the season.
Franklin & Marshall will look to continue rolling when it hosts Washington College on Saturday at noon.
