GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (8-7, 5-1 CC) won a hard-fought match at Gettysburg (8-6, 2-3 CC), 5-4, in Tuesday afternoon's Centennial Conference (CC) action. The Bullets claimed two wins in the doubles matches, but the Diplomats responded by taking four wins in the singles matches to overtake Gettysburg on the scoreboard.
The deciding factor in the match was
Pedro Norte's win in the No. 5 slot as he went three sets to claim his 11th individual victory of the year. Â
Luke Brodsky also tallied a three-set victory in the No. 1 singles match to earn his 10th win of the year.
Samuel Donnelly (No. 3) and
Soren Rudin-Aulenbach (No. 6) both earned their 10th individual victory of the season as both Diplomats put away their respective opponents in straight sets. Donnelly won his match, 6-1, 7-5, while Rudin-Aulenbach defeated his opponent, 6-0, 6-2.
In doubles, the duo of
Luke Brodsky and
Campbell Gervais won the middle doubles match, 8-4, to earn their ninth victory of the season together.
Franklin & Marshall looks to continue rolling when it travels to face No. 38 Haverford on Saturday, starting at noon.
