Men's Tennis Comes Up Short at No. 39 Haverford

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (8-8, 5-2 CC) battled hard against No. 39 Haverford (9-7, 4-2 CC) in Saturday afternoon's Centennial Conference (CC) match, but came up just short as the Fords claimed a 5-4 win. Despite falling in all three doubles matches, the Diplomats fought back with four wins in the singles matches, coming up just short of pulling off the upset.

Three Diplomats earned their 11th win of the season in the singles matches, with Luke Brodsky claiming a 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 win in the No. 1 position. Samuel Donnelly (No. 3) downed his opponent 7-5, 6-0, while Soren Rudin-Aulenbach (No. 6) held off his opponent, 6-4, 6-4. Rounding out F&M, Zac Ashtiani notched his 10th win of the season as he won a three-set battle, 2-6, 6-4, 7(8)-6(6), in the No. 2 slot.

Franklin & Marshall returns to Brooks Tennis Center on Saturday to host No. 10 Swarthmore at 1:00 p.m.
