LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 50 Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (8-9, 5-2 CC) fell to No. 10 Swarthmore (19-1, 8-0 CC), 7-2, in Saturday afternoon's Centennial Conference (CC) action. A battle between ranked teams, Swarthmore swept through the doubles matches and claimed four wins in the singles matches to earn the victory over the Diplomats.
Ranked sixth in singles for Region III,
Luke Brodsky earned a huge win in the No. 1 position as he took down third-ranked Max Lindstrom in a three-set thriller. Brodsky outlasted his opponent, 6-4, 0-6, 1(10)-0(8) to pick up his 12th individual win of the year.
Gonzalo Gentou also won his singles match, competing in the No. 4 slot. Gentou earned the victory in three sets, 6-3, 2-6, 1(10)-0(2) to claim his seventh win of the season.
No. 50 Franklin & Marshall now gets set to host Gettysburg in the first round of the Centennial Conference (CC) Tournament on Wednesday. A start time has yet to be determined.
