LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team (7-9, 5-1 CC) claimed its fifth Centennial Conference (CC) victory of the season with an 8-1 win against Dickinson (9-5, 3-3 CC) Wednesday afternoon at the Brooks Tennis Center.

The Diplomats got the day started by sweeping through the doubles matches, beginning with Sophia Rhazali and Mackenzie Sherman winning the first match, 8-0, for their third victory together this season. The duo of Lorena Saavedra and Amelia Squires bested their opponent, 8-2, in the middle match for their sixth win of the year. In the final doubles match, the pairing of Kakie Colclough and Presley Daggett earned an 8-2 win for their eleventh victory of the season.

F&M kept the momentum rolling through the final five singles matches of the day to complete the victory over the Red Devils. Rebecca Bellick (No. 4) and Squires (No. 5) won their respective matches to each earn their 10th win of the season. Bellick notched a 6-1, 6-1 win, while Squires blanked her opponent, 6-0, 6-0. Rhazali earned her ninth victory of the year as she claimed a 6-1, 6-0 win in the No. 2 slot. Colclough tallied her sixth win of the season with a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the No. 6 position. Sherman held off her opponent in the No. 3 match, 6-2, 6-3, for her fourth singles' win of the spring.

Franklin & Marshall now gears up for a tough test on the road Saturday when it takes on No. 33 Haverford at noon.
