LANCASTER, Pa. – For the seventh time in his career, Shane Lawler of the Franklin & Marshall men's golf team was recognized as the Centennial Conference (CC) men's golfer of the week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. It is also the second time this season, Lawler has earned the weekly honor.

Lawler led the Diplomats to a third place finish out of 16 teams competing in the Hershey Cup over the weekend. In the opening round, the junior shot four-over par to hold a tie for 10th in the individual standings. Lawler responded in Monday's closing round by carding a 71 to earn a tie for second place in the field of 87 competitors. The 71 score is tied for the sixth-lowest round score for the Diplomats this season.

Lawler and his team now get set to compete in the Garden State Collegiate Classic, a two-round event, starting on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. After the two-day tournament, F&M returns to Bent Creek Country Club on Monday to host the F&M Spring Invitational, starting at noon.
