Will Bramley Takes Weight Throw Title at Coach I Invitational

LANCASTER, Pa.- The Franklin & Marshall men's track & field team hosted the Coach I Invitational on Saturday. The Diplomats' results were highlighted by Will Bramley winning the weight throw.

Bramley earned the weight throw victory with his personal best mark of 15.65 meters which inched him even closer to the school record that is currently held by his former teammate Artie Richards '24 at 15.98 meters. Dustin Stoetzel had the team's next best showing with a 12.26 meter throw that earned him 16th place. In the shot put, Austin Hadley led the way with a mark of 12.81 meters to earn seventh place while Ben Ford logged a new personal best of 10.48 meters.

Entering three 4x400 relays, F&M's best performance in that event came from the team of Justin Harrison, Tom Dowd, Jake Zion, and Josh Brown as that group earned an eighth-place finish with a time of 3:41.59.

Zach Houff had the best individual result in track events, earning sixth place in the 800 meters with a new personal best time of 2:00.56. Owen McCann (2:03.02) and Tom Dowd (2:05.57) also achieved new PRs. Justin Kolpan led F&M in the 60 meters with a time of 7.24 seconds, while Alex Olener posted a 9.37 second time in the 60 meter hurdles. Wesley Ihezuo had the Diplomats' best 200 meter time at 24.02 seconds, with Josh Brown setting a new event PR (25.79). Owen McCann led the way in the mile with a time of 4:36.40, while Holden Brown (4:48.22) and Tammy Tapino (4:50.82) set new personal bests in the event.

In other field event action, Greg Bruno set a new personal record in the pole vault at 3.34 meters. He also logged a 1.52 meter mark in the high jump, while Wesley Ihezuo set a 4.24 meter mark in the long jump.

The Diplomats will have the upcoming week away from competition as they prepare to host their final home meet of the regular season as the Blue & White Invitational is set for Saturday, February 8 inside the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center.
