COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's track & field team began day one of the All-Atlantic Regional Championships with a pair of throwers in the javelin. Wednesday was the first of the two-day event as the Diplomats make their final push to qualifying individuals for the national championships.

Benjamin Ford did hit a personal best in the javelin as his final attempt of the first three throws was marked at 53.91 meters. That new personal best improved him to the top 100 in all of Division III at the moment and placed him 11th at the regional meet. Dustin Stoetzel also competed in javelin for the final time in his career, posting a mark of 52.66 meters for the eighth-ranked individual in school history.

Franklin & Marshall will have Austin Hadley and Ben Ostroski in action for discus on Thursday to close the regional championship. Zach Houff will also compete on the track in the 800 meters.
