LANCASTER, Pa. – For the first time in her career,
Lizzie Neville of the Franklin & Marshall women's basketball team was recognized as the Centennial Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning. With the selection, Neville becomes the second F&M women's basketball player to win the weekly honor this season after
Kennedy Wilburn was selected in early-December.
Neville led Franklin & Marshall to a 2-0 record last week with wins over Centennial Conference (CC) foes Ursinus and Dickinson. In the 77-69 victory over the Bears, Neville tallied a career-high 27 points, while shooting 57.1 percent (12-of-21) from the field and hitting two three-pointers. In the Diplomats' 57-50 win over Dickinson, Neville once again led the team in points with 14. The guard had eight of those points come from free throws as she hit all of eight of her attempts at the charity stripe Saturday afternoon. Neville also nabbed four rebounds and three steals in the Diplomats' win.
