LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall football team garnered some much-deserved national attention over the weekend as the Diplomats knocked No. 25 Muhlenberg from the ranks of the undefeated teams in Division III with a 28-27 victory inside Shadek Stadium. That win did not go unnoticed by the national rankers as F&M is now receiving votes in the latest D3football.com Top 25 national poll.

Off to a 4-1 start, including a perfect 2-0 record in Centennial Conference play, the Diplomats received two votes in this week's poll. That marked the first time since week three of the 2019 season in which F&M is receiving votes in the national poll.

Following a 28-27 win against Muhlenberg for the team's first against the Mules since the 2017 season. F&M is now just one of two teams who are undefeated in Centennial Conference play, joining No. 3 Johns Hopkins (5-0, 2-0 CC) atop the Centennial Conference standings. No. 16 Carnegie Mellon is also ranked in the top 25 from the Centennial Conference while Muhlenberg remained among the teams receiving votes in this week's poll.

The Diplomats will continue Centennial Conference action this Saturday at 1 p.m. when they travel to rival Dickinson for the annual battle for The Wagon.
