CHESTERTOWN, Md.- The Franklin & Marshall men's rowing team faced Washington College on Saturday in a dual meet, with the men's Varsity 8+ winning both the 3,000 meter race and the 1,000 meter race.
The crew's Varsity 8+ lineup, from bow to stern, featured
Saul Schoenholtz,
Zaeem Zia,
Peter Kutscher,
Max Taxter,
Max Goldman,
Aemon Cameron,
Tai Jespersen,
Moemen Ibrahim, and
Don Ang as coxswain.
The Diplomats also raced Varsity 4+ lineups. The A lineup, from bow to stern, included Zia, Schoenholtz, Kutscher, Goldman, and Ang as coxswain. The B lineup included from bow to stern
Harris Zhang,
Gordon Clifford,
Jerry Cui,
Ahmed Sherif, and
Mithayus Diaz as coxswain.
F&M also raced Novice 4+, which took second, and included from bow to stern,
Vinny Valentine,
Lucas Barroso,
Kunaal Chatterjee, Kutscher, and Macy Bush as coxswain.
To gain experience racing, F&M also raced two men's pairs, and they included the duos of Jespersen and Cameron, and Ibrahim and Taxter.
"We want to take a moment to thank the Washington College Shoremen for hosting us, as it's always great to get side by side racing in," said Head Coach
Bob Brady. "It was also a great day for all of our crews to be able to get competitive strokes in and continue our development through the fall season."
