CARLISLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's soccer team (2-7-2, 1-2-1 CC) was defeated on the road, 4-0, by No. 8 Dickinson (8-0-4, 3-0-1 CC) in Saturday afternoon's Centennial Conference (CC) game. The Red Devils found the back of the net twice in each half, while keeping F&M off the scoreboard to roll past the Diplomats in the match.
F&M had early opportunities, starting with
Jack Borden firing a shot on net one minute into the contest that was saved by Dickinson's Nick Potter. Two minutes later,
Wes Wise tried a shot on target, but his attempt was also denied by Potter. The Diplomats tallied their third shot on goal in the 72nd minute as
Reagan Pelletier's attempt was stopped to maintain the shutout.
Both teams finished the game with 12 total shots, while Dickinson held a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal. F&M had its opportunities on offense, generating eight corner kicks in the game, while holding Dickinson to zero corner kick chances. Five different Diplomats ended the game with two shots apiece in the loss.
Franklin & Marshall hits the road for its final non-conference game on Wednesday, taking on Albright at 7:00 p.m.
