LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team (0-2) was defeated by No. 7 Johns Hopkins (4-1), 7-0, in Saturday afternoon's non-conference match inside the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center. The Blue Jays showed they belong as one of the top teams in the nation, sweeping through both the singles and doubles matches.
Jenna Harrison and
Mackenzie Sherman held the Blue Jays within range throughout the top doubles match. However, JHU powered past the Diplomats' duo to win 6-4. Harrison later battled through the top singles match of the afternoon, winning the second set, 6-2, to tie up the match. Despite the late push, JHU's Sophia Kim won the third set, 6-0, to win the match.
Franklin & Marshall now turns its attention to a road match at TCNJ on Saturday, March 1 at noon.
