LANCASTER, Pa. – Will Bramley struck gold on Saturday in the weight throw at the 2025 Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. Bramley set a new school record in the event when he became the first-ever Diplomat to break the 16 meter barrier with his throw of 16.20 meters. Bramley's gold accounted for half of the Diplomats' 20 points during the first of two days at the conference championship.
With his record-breaking performance on Saturday, Bramley becomes the first-ever Diplomat to win the weight throw at the Centennial Conference Championships since that event was first contested in 2019. However, he was far from the only F&M standout in that event as Ben Ford took home fifth with a personal-best mark of 14.81 meters which now ranks sixth in school history. Dustin Stoetzel (13.14m) and Ben Ostroski (12.99m) finished in 12th and 13th, respectively, for that event.
Franklin & Marshall's other individual scorer came in the pole vault where Greg Bruno cleared 3.55 meters to take home eighth place. The Diplomats just missed finalists in Sunday's sprints as Alex Olener (9.12 seconds in 60m hurdles) and Justin Kolpan (7.22 seconds in 60m dash) were the ninth and 10th place finishers in those qualifying heats. Olener's time set a new personal best in the event.
The Diplomats added to their team score during a fourth-place finish in the 4x800 relay with a time of 8:06.00. That relay of Tom Dowd, Holden Brown, Owen McCann, and Zach Houff scored with the ninth-fastest relay in program history.
The Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships will wrap on Sunday. First events inside the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center are slated for 11 a.m.
