Men's Track & Field Wins Three Events at Little Three Meet

CARLISLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's track & field team crowned three individual champions at the Little Three Championship this weekend. Those performances helped the Diplomats score 117 team points. Dickinson (152 points) won the Little Three Championship, while Gettysburg (144 points) took second in the final standings.

Elliott Coulter was an individual champion on the track as he won the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.09 seconds. He later added a bronze medal in the long jump with a mark of 5.56 meters. Alex Olener claimed silver in the 110 hurdles (16.94 seconds), took bronze in the triple jump (11.24 meters), and was fourth in the long jump (5.53 meters).

The Diplomats scored their biggest points in the throwing events where Will Bramley won the hammer throw (53.49m) and Justin Kolpan led the way in the javelin (51.66m). Bramley was one of five Diplomats in the top seven for hammer where Dustin Stoetzel (39.74m) and Ben Ostroski (36.49m) turned in top 10 marks in school history. Kolpan led four scorers in the javelin, while Austin Hadley was second in the discus (37.45m). He was one of six top eight finishers for Franklin & Marshall, with Ostroski (37.14m) taking bronze in the discus. Hadley was also second in the shot put (12.78m) where Ben Ford (11.31m) took third overall.

F&M set another top 10 mark in school history on the track as Tommy Tapino was third overall in the 5,000 meters (15:30.11). Zach Houff was the runner up in the 1,500 meters (4:10.91), while Owen McCann (1:59.57; 800m) and Alex Miller (10:09.06; steeplechase) won bronze in their events. The Diplomats were second in the 4x800 relay and third in the 4x400 relay. In other field events, Pat Donohue won a silver medal by clearing 1.69 meters in the high jump during his return to competition, while Greg Bruno's best performance came with a third place finish in the pole vault (3.25m).

Men's track & field will now have the upcoming weekend away from competition before returning to action on Saturday, April 5 for the Muhlenberg Invitational.
