LANCASTER, Pa. – For the first time in his career, Colin Mackenzie of the Franklin & Marshall baseball team has been named the Centennial Conference (CC) Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday morning. Mackenzie became the second Diplomat this season to win the weekly honor after Bijan Anvar was recognized earlier this month.

In two relief appearances last week, Mackenzie struck out five batters and allowed just five hits and no earned runs in seven innings-pitched to help F&M earn two non-conference victories. In the win over Lebanon Valley, Mackenzie struck out one and allowed three hits in three innings. The sophomore followed up that performance by striking out four and allowing just two hits in four innings to earn the win against Moravian.

Mackenzie currently has a 0.73 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with nine strikeouts in 12.1 innings this season.

Franklin & Marshall gets set to start Centennial Conference play on Saturday, hosting No. 4 Johns Hopkins in a doubleheader starting at noon.
