LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team (6-4, 1-1 CC) played its first match at Brooks Tennis Center this Spring, defeating Gettysburg (6-7, 0-2 CC), 6-1, in Tuesday afternoon's Centennial Conference match. F&M dominated throughout the day, sweeping the doubles matches before claiming wins in five of the six singles matches.

The tandem of Jenna Harrison and Mackenzie Sherman earned a 6-4 win in the No. 1 match to claim their fourth win together this season. The duo of Sahara Ahmad and Natalie Untermeyer and the pairing of Sophia Rhazali and Amelia Squires both notched their sixth doubles wins this year. Ahmad and Untermeyer downed their opponent, 6-0, in the No. 2 match, while Rhazali and Squires defeated their opponent, 6-1, in the No. 3 match.

Gettysburg earned a win in the No. 1 singles match, but F&M came back with five-straight wins in singles to win the overall match. Ahmad took the No. 2 match in three sets, 5-7, 7-5, 1(10)-0(3), to earn a hard-fought sixth individual win of the year. Sherman eased past her opponent in the No. 3 match, 6-1, 6-0, to pick up her fourth singles' win this season. Untermeyer claimed her team-best seventh singles' win this season as she defeated her opponent, 6-1, 6-1, in the No. 4 match. Rhazali and Bellick both improved to six singles' wins this year. Rhazali upended her opponent, 6-0, in the No. 5 match, while Bellick downed her opponent, 6-1, 6-0, in the No. 6 match.

Franklin & Marshall looks to continue its winning streak when it travels to play Haverford on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
