ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (7-8, 3-2 CC) completed its second sweep of the 2025 season as it downed Muhlenberg (9-4, 0-3 CC), 7-0, in Saturday afternoon's Centennial Conference match.
F&M cruised through the doubles matches to get the day started. The tandem of
Zac Ashtiani and
Gonzalo Gentou blanked their opponent in the No. 1 match, 6-0, to pick up their eighth victory together this year.
Luke Brodsky and
Soren Rudin-Aulenbach improved to 10 wins together as they outlasted their opponent, 6-4, in the No. 2 match. The duo of
Jack Gelman and
Tucker Chesman shutout their opponent in the No. 3 match, 6-0, to claim their sixth victory this spring.
The Diplomats continued their dominance in the singles matches with
Luke Brodsky starting things off with a 6-3, 6-4 win in the No. 1 match to improve to six singles' wins this year. Ashtiani outlasted his opponent in three set to take the No. 2 match, 7-5, 5-7, 10-7, for his fifth victory this spring.
Samuel Donnelly (No. 3) downed his opponent, 6-0, 6-3, while Rudin-Aulenbach (No. 4) won his match, 6-2, 6-2. With the wins, both Diplomats improved to nine singles' wins this season. Gelman eased past his opponent in the No. 5 match, 6-1, 6-1, to earn his 10th singles' victory this year.
Tucker Chesman outlasted his opponent in the No. 6 match, 8-5, to pick up his first singles' win.
Franklin & Marshall continues on the road, playing Shenandoah on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
