Women's Swimming Earns Four CSC Academic All-District® Selections

GREENWOOD, Ind.- The Franklin & Marshall women's swimming team placed four student-athletes onto the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Women's Swimming & Diving Division III Team including Rachel Baker, Caitlin Barr, Sophie Bergstrom, and Georgia May.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Baker also earned a second-straight Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll appearance. At the 2025 Centennial Conference Swimming Championship, she was on the 200 medley relay team and 200 freestyle relay team that each claimed third place. The 200 freestyle relay team tied the program record of 1:36.33. She was also a B Finalist in the 50 freestyle, 100 backstroke, and 100 freestyle. Individually, she set F&M's seventh-best 50 freestyle time at the championship.

Barr placed on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the first time earlier this year. At the Centennial Conference Swimming Championship, she was on the 200 medley relay team and 400 freestyle relay team that each claimed third place. The 400 freestyle relay team set a new program record of 3:32.31 in the event. Individually, she was an A Finalist in the 100 butterfly and B Finalist in the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle. This season, she set F&M's best 50 butterfly split, the seventh-best 100 backstroke time, the seventh-best 100 butterfly time, and the tenth-best 100 freestyle time. 

Bergstrom became a three-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll honoree. At the 2025 Centennial Conference Swimming Championship, she was on the 400 medley relay team that finished in third place and set a new program record time of 3:54.36. Individually, she was an A Finalist in both the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke and a B Finalist in the 200 IM. This year, she set F&M's best 50 backstroke split, the third-best 100 backstroke time, the fourth-best 200 backstroke time, the third-best 100 IM time, and the seventh-best 200 IM time. 

May earned a spot on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the second-straight year. Her performance in the pool this year was highlighted by a third-place finish in the 1650 freestyle at the 2025 Centennial Conference Swimming Championship, while she was part of the 800 freestyle relay team that finished in fourth place. Individually, she was a B Finalist in the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle. 

The Franklin & Marshall women's swimming team posted a 5-5, 5-2 Centennial Conference record before earning third place at the 2025 Centennial Conference Swimming Championship.
