CARLISLE, Pa. – The No. 38 Franklin & Marshall men's tennis team (8-9, 4-2 CC) rolled to a 7-0 sweep over Dickinson (3-12, 0-6 CC) in Tuesday afternoon's Centennial Conference (CC) match. The win marks the third sweep for the Diplomats this season and the second in three matches.
F&M started the day with three wins in doubles.
Zac Ashtiani and
Gonzalo Gentou won the No. 1 match, 6-2, for their ninth victory together this season. The duo of
Luke Brodsky and
Soren Rudin-Aulenbach defeated their opponents in the No. 2 match, 6-1, for their 12th win of the year.
Jack Gelman and
Dylan Maudsley earned their first victory together as the pairing won the No. 3 match, 6-2.
The Diplomats carried their success into the singles matches with Brodsky winning the No. 1 match, 6-2, 6-3 for his seventh singles' win this spring. Ashtiani downed his opponent, 6-3, 6-1, in the No. 2 match for his sixth victory of the season.
Samuel Donnelly claimed his 10th win of the year, defeating his opponent in the No. 3 match, 6-2, 6-1. Rudin-Aulenbach cruised in the No. 4 match, 6-0, 6-3, to pick up his his 11 singles' win this spring. Gentou came away with his fifth win of the year as he defeated his opponent in the No. 5 match, 6-1, 6-0. Gelman rounded out the Diplomats as he won the No. 6 match, 6-0, 6-1, for his 12th victory this season.
No. 38 Franklin & Marshall returns to Lancaster to host Ursinus on Saturday, starting at noon.
