CARLISLE, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall women's tennis team (12-5, 8-2 CC) solidified its first 10-win season since the 2016-17 campaign as it defeated Dickinson (10-6, 3-4 CC), 5-2, in Wednesday afternoon's Centennial Conference (CC) match.
The Diplomats got on the scoreboard early with two wins in the doubles matches to take a 1-0 advantage.
Sahara Ahmad and
Natalie Untermeyer blanked their opponent in the No. 2 match, 6-0, to pick up their 11th win together this year. The duo of
Presley Daggett and
Kakie Colclough fended off their opponent in the No. 3 match, 6-3 for their sixth victory this season.
Dickinson earned two wins in the top-two singles matches, but F&M responded with four-straight wins to complete the match-victory. Untermeyer downed her opponent in the No. 3 singles match, 7-5, 6-4, to earn her 11th individual win of the season.
Mackenzie Sherman cruised past her opponent in the No. 4 match, 6-2, 6-1, to pick up her eighth win of the year.
Sophia Rhazali won the No. 5 match, 6-4, 6-1 to improve to 11 victories this spring.
Rebecca Bellick completed the victory for the Diplomats as she defeated her opponent in the No. 6 match, 6-1, 6-2, to notch her 10th win of the season.
Franklin & Marshall concludes the regular season on Saturday, hosting Ursinus at noon.
