Six Women's Lacrosse Players Named to IWLCA All-Metro Region Teams

LANCASTER, Pa.- Following a 2025 season that produced the program's 11th overall and third consecutive Centennial Conference Championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16, the Franklin & Marshall women's lacrosse team saw six players earn IWLAA All-Metro Region selections. Attackers Lydia Cassilly and Lauren Pittman alongside midfielder Lane Lambeth earned first-team spots, while attacker Devyn Crone, goalkeeper Sara DiGiovanni, and defender Belle Dintino all placed on the second team.

Lauren Pittman earned her second-straight IWLCA All-Metro Region First-Team selection. This month, she also became a First-Team USA Lacrosse All-American, was named the Centennial Conference Attacker of the Year, and earned all-conference honors for the third-consecutive year with a spot on the first team. Pittman scored a team-best 62 goals with 23 assists this season, with nearly half of her total points coming in conference play where she scored 27 goals and assisted on 14 more. She also led the team with 104 draw controls, marking the second straight year of doing so. The junior has scored in every game that F&M has played this year, including 12 games with a hat trick. Her season high in points came when she registered nine against Swarthmore (5 goals, 4 assists) during the Centennial Conference opener. She matched her season high in goals against Rowan, Washington College, and Ursinus and has at least five draw controls during 11 different games. Through three seasons, Pittman is already second in program history in game-winning goals (18), third in draw controls per game (3.25), sixth in goals (185), 11th in points (251), and 18th in assists (66). Her 104 draw controls this season were the third most in a single season in program history.

Lydia Cassilly became a four-time First-Team IWLCA All-Metro Region representative. She also earned her third-straight USA Lacrosse All-American selection. Earlier in May, she secured a first-team All-Centennial Conference selection, marking the first player in program history to accomplish that feat. She is just the eighth player in program history to be named to the all-conference team during each of her four seasons. Cassilly led the team with 91 points via 60 goals and 31 assists. She has scored at least one goal in every contest, including 17 multi-goal games. Cassilly scored a season-high six goals during the season-opening win against Washington and Lee before registering a season-best seven points (4 goals, 3 assists) versus Haverford. She then matched that total with five goals and two assists during the CC semifinal victory against Muhlenberg. With her career as a Diplomat concluded, Cassilly ranks second in program history in career points (354),  second in goals (231), second in free-position goals (42), tied for third in games started (89), fifth in assists (123), and tied for 10th in game-winning goals (10).

With a spot on the IWLCA All-Metro Region First-Team this year, Lane Lambeth is now a three-time selection following a spot on the first team in 2024 and second team in 2025. She also placed on the USA Lacrosse All-American Second Team, back-to-back Centennial Conference Midfielder of the Year honors, and a First-Team All-Centennial Conference selection for the third consecutive season. Lambeth concluded 2025 with 53 goals and 60 total points scored. The senior led the team with 38 ground balls and ranked third with 57 draw controls. Lambeth has scored multiple goals during 15 of the team's 21 games. Those totals include nine hat tricks, headlined by a season-best six goals in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 against Denison. Lambeth is already the program's lead with 25 woman-up goals during her career, while ranking sixth in draw controls (183), tied for tenth in goals (173) and 12th in caused turnovers (63).

Belle Dintino earned  her third-straight IWLCA All-Metro Region selection with a second-team spot. This month, she also marked three-consecutive seasons of USA Lacrosse All-American Second Team selections and booked her third-consecutive nod to the All-Centennial Conference First Team. Dintino registered 37 ground balls, 24 draw controls, and 18 caused turnovers during the season. She anchored a defensive unit that allowed just 8.43 goals per game overall, lowering that total to just 6.50 goals conceded per game during Centennial Conference action. The junior caused at least one turnover during 11 different contests, including a season-best four during the regular season victory versus Gettysburg where she additionally collected a season-best four ground balls. Dintino matched her season high in ground balls on five other occasions. Starting all 65 games she has played in her career, Dintino already ranks fourth in school history with 87 caused turnovers and 13th all-time with 122 career ground balls.

Sara DiGiovanni's first season as the Diplomats' starter in goal earned her a spot on the IWLCA All-Metro Region Second Team. She also earned first-team All-Centennial Conference honors in May. Starting all 21 games and finishing with 18 victories as the goalie of record, DiGiovanni stopped 51.9 percent of the shots on goal she faced and allowed just 8.48 goals per game. The junior was even better in conference play, stopping 54.8 percent of those shots with a 6.60 goals against average. She has already made at least 10 saves during ten different contests. She stopped 12 shots and allowed just two goals to finish with a save percentage above .850 during the conference-opening win versus Swarthmore. DiGiovanni's 181 saves are the 11th-best single-season total in program history. 

Devyn Crone is a first-time IWLCA All-Metron Region player with a second-team spot after earning a Second-Team All-Centennial Conference selection for her first appearance on an all-conference team. She dished out a team-leading 48 assists in addition to scoring 33 goals. Crone registered multiple points during all but the season opening game, including a season-best 10-point effort (4 goals, 6 assists) versus Messiah. That game ranked in a tie for the seventh-most points in a single game in school history. Her 48 assists are the fifth most in a single season in program history, while her 82 career assists are currently 15th in program history. Crone also registered hat tricks during four other games in addition to her record-breaking performance against Messiah.
