Five From Men's Cross Country/Track & Field Named Academic All-District

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Franklin & Marshall men's cross country and track & field teams had five student-athletes recognized as College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections. The academic all-district teams honor the top student-athletes in the country for their success both in the classroom and in their respective sports.

Will Bramley, Elliott Coulter, Pat Donohue, Owen McCann, and Alex Miller each received this distinction for the Diplomats. To be considered for the academic all-district team, student-athletes must at least sophomores who maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA and were ranked among the top 50 athletes in the region in an event during the cross country or indoor/outdoor track & field seasons.

An all-region performer in both the weight and hammer throws, Will Bramley capped his career earning academic all-district honors during each of his three eligible seasons. This spring, he posted the top mark in the region in the hammer (53.78m) while breaking the school record in the process. The recent graduate won gold medals in both of those events during the Centennial Conference Championships during the indoor (weight) and outdoor (hammer) seasons. He was also a silver medalist in the weight throw during the conference's 2024 indoor championship and graduated as the school record holder in that event as well.

Elliott Coutler excelled in the springs throughout his career and was named to the academic all-district team for the first time as a senior. Coulter posted top times in the region during the indoor 60 meter dash, in addition to the 100 and 200 meter races during the outdoor season. Coulter graduated as the school record holder in the 60 meter dash (6.96 seconds) in addition to numerous top 10 times in program history. He won a silver medal at the 2024 Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships as a member of the Diplomats' 4x200 relay.

Pat Donohue made the most of his limited opportunities as a senior, being recognized as an academic all-district selection for the third time in as many eligible seasons. Donohue earned his regional mark in the outdoor high jump. He finishes his career ranked sixth in school history in the high jump during the indoor season and has the 10th-best mark in school history during the outdoor season.

A member of both the cross country and indoor/outdoor track & field teams, Owen McCann earned the second academic all-district honors of his career after excelling in the mid-distance and distance events. McCann graduates with top 10 times in school history in both the mile and 5,000 meters on the indoor surface. He added top 10 times at the 3,000 and 5,000 meter distances during the outdoor seasons. McCann was also named to the Centennial Conference's All-Sportsmanship Team following both the indoor and outdoor track & field championships during his senior campaign.

Alex Miller also capped his career a three-time representative on the academic all-district team. Miller competed in all three seasons during his collegiate career as a member of the cross country and indoor/outdoor track & field teams. Miller made his biggest impact in the steeplechase where he finished as the third-fastest individual in school history for that event (9:46.46). Miller was additionally a member of numerous top relays in program history.
