LANCASTER, Pa. – With one of its most experienced and deepest lineups in recent history, the Division I Franklin & Marshall wrestling team has multiple individuals garnering national attention as Bryce Kresho and James Conway both find themselves in the preseason national rankings.
After qualifying for his first NCAA Tournament and earning the Elite 90 Award for having the highest cumulative GPA among all Division I national qualifiers in 2024, James Conway redshirted during the 2024-25. However, the national committees have not forgotten about Conway as he is ranked 15th by The College Wrestling Report and 18th by FloWrestling in their respective preseason rankings. Conway will be a team captain for third time this season and has placed fifth and seventh during his two most recent EIWA Championship Tournaments. After winning a match against returning All-American Chris Foca to start his 2024 NCAA Tournament, Conway ranks 15th in program history with 73 career wins. He went 30-11 during his run to the NCAA Tournament in 2024, winning the Keystone Classic and finishing second at the Lehman Open during the past two seasons.
Bryce Kresho is ranked 31st in the country at 141 lbs. by The College Wrestling Report after compiling a Division I-leading 35 victories last season. Now in his second year as a team captain, Kresho placed in every tournament he competed in last year. His highlights included going 7-1 in dual meets while also placing fourth at the EIWA Championships, fifth at the Lehman Open and Keystone Classic, and sixth at Midlands. Kresho is currently 24th all-time in program history with 67 wins entering his senior season. His 11 falls a year ago moved him to eighth in school history with 23 career pins in addition to owning the ninth-most major decisions (14) at F&M. Those 11 falls were just one off of the school's single-season record while his 35 victories were the fifth-highest single-season total all-time.
Wrestling recently announced its 2025-26 schedule that will get underway on Sunday, November 2 at the Southeast Open in Roanoke, Va.
