LANCASTER, Pa. – Dr. Phil Miller, Franklin & Marshall's associate director of athletics for facilities and operations, has announced that he is stepping down from his position to accept the director of athletics position at Alma College in Michigan.
Miller joined the Diplomats in February of 2023. In his position, he oversaw the scheduling and game day operations for each of F&M's 28 varsity sports. Miller was also responsible for the maintenance, functionality, and efficiency of each of the College's athletic facilities. Miller was also a sport administrator for several of the Diplomats' varsity programs.
Miller previously worked as a director of athletics at Rosemont College near Philadelphia, Pa. At Rosemont, he provided oversight to an athletic department that supported over 200 student-athletes across 13 varsity programs.
A 2010 graduate of Edinboro University, Dr. Miller earned his bachelor's degree in physical education. Miller holds master's degrees from both Indiana University of Pennsylvania (sport management) and Slippery Rock (criminology). He most recently earned his doctorate from East Stroudsburg, studying educational leadership & administration.
